Some time ago in late July, some dear friends of ours got married! Chelsea and Josh had been dating for YEARS and got engaged early last summer. As you can imagine with a July wedding, they didn’t have a lot of time to plan and spend time taking photos much beforehand. Luckily, I was able to snag these two away for a few hours one evening early July and get a couple fun photos with them as a small engagement present.
We went to Isamu Noguchi’s California Scenario Garden in Costa Mesa… a stunning sculpture garden and architectural marvel in the middle of a small business park near South Coast Plaza that portrays different aspects of California’s diverse geography. It’s a lovely place for a shoot, and the juxtaposition of organic landscape and polished glass with clean lines is intriguing.
I’ve actually talked with Josh and Chelsea about doing an ‘after’ shoot at the garden so we have time to really play up the environment a bit more. (be on the lookout for that later!)
Chelsea and Josh, it has been so much fun to see your relationship and love for each other grow in the short couple years I’ve known you so far. Your love is genuine and exemplifies Christ so much! I hope that Sean and I will have what you two have for the rest of our lives. Your wedding was BEAUTIFUL!! SO Christ-centered and so YOU!! Wishing you all the happiness, love, and laughter in the world as you start your new lives together. Can’t wait to come see the new apartment!! Let’s do that soon!
Love you both SO ridiculously much!
